Outdoor Kitchens

Outdoor Kitchens

Built-in grills, sinks, refrigeration and stone countertops, framed and finished by the same crew that builds the cover or screened porch around them.

Chapter 01

The kitchen you actually cook in, not a grill on a slab

Most homeowners start this conversation with a grill and end up realizing what they actually want is a counter that works: somewhere to set down a plate, a sink so you are not running back inside to rinse tongs, storage that keeps the propane tank and the cooler out of the rain. A grill sitting alone on a patio never solves that. It just moves the cooking outside without moving the workflow with it.

We build the counter run first, then fit the grill, burner, sink and storage into it, the same way a kitchen designer would lay out cabinets before picking appliances. That is the difference between an outdoor kitchen you use every week and one that turns back into a dust-covered grill by the second summer.

What actually goes into the build

The counter run starts with framing built to carry real weight, stone or stainless, not a lightweight surface that flexes under a heavy griddle. From there we run the utilities: gas line to the built-in grill, side burner or griddle, plumbing for a sink with running water, and power with USB outlets so a phone or a set of string lights has somewhere to plug in. Refrigeration and coolers get wired in the same pass, so nothing is a retrofit later.

Cabinetry and countertops come in granite, natural stone or stainless, whatever holds up best against Austin sun and matches the house. Some builds add a pizza oven, a trash and storage drawer setup, or bar seating so the kitchen doubles as where people actually gather. And because the same crew that pours the slab and frames the cover builds the kitchen into it, the counter, the roof over it and the concrete underneath all come from one plan instead of three separate contractors guessing at each other's work.

We handle the City of Austin and HOA permitting for the build, so you are not the one chasing paperwork while the crew is on site.

The full menu we build from: Built-in Gas or Charcoal Grills, Side Burners & Griddles, Sinks with Running Water, Refrigerators & Coolers, Cabinetry & Countertops, Pizza Ovens, Trash & Storage Drawers, Bar Seating & Islands, and Lighting & Power. You do not need all of it, and most builds do not, but the counter run gets framed for whatever you decide on before anything is poured.

Chapter 03

Built to stay outside, covered for warranty

Every outdoor kitchen we build carries the same five year structural warranty as our deck and cover work, and we carry two million dollars in general liability insurance on every job. Materials get chosen with Central Texas weather in mind: stainless holds up better than painted steel in the heat and humidity, and stone countertops that can take direct sun without cracking.

Design consultations are free and most quotes come back in five days or less. If you already have a number from another builder, bring it, we can usually meet or beat it by five to ten percent. Call (512) 467-4923 and we will walk your backyard with you before we draw anything up.
